Investment obstacles In December 2014 some 39 percent of the companies have indicated that they experienced investment obstacles. This is an increase in comparison with June 2014, when it was 34%. These obstacles are mainly due to a shortage in financial resources (23% of the companies) and poor market forecast (16%, a decrease from 21% last June 2014). Almost 13 percent of the interviewed companies indicated last December that government policy is an investment obstacle. Confidence in the economy According to the businesses, confidence in the economy has improved slightly. In December 2014 some 40 percent stated that their confidence worsened in the last six months of that year. In June this was 44 percent. Furthermore almost 55 percent of the companies considered no change towards their confidence in the economy (was 50%). Still, also in December 2014 only 6 percent of the businesses acknowledged that their confidence in the economy improved over the past half year.
