Investment obstacles In June 2015 about 36 percent of the companies have indicated that they experienced investment obstacles, a decrease of 3 percent in comparison with December 2014. These obstacles are mainly due to a shortage in financial resources (down from 23 to 21% of the companies) and poor market forecast (from 21 to 17% last June 2015). Government policy as an investment obstacle increased from 12 to 14 percent. Confidence in the economy According to the businesses, confidence in the economy has improved slightly. In June 2015 some 31 percent stated that their confidence worsened in the last six months of that year (was 44% last December). Furthermore 63 percent of the companies experienced no change towards their confidence in the economy (was 55%). Still, also in June 2015, only 6 percent of the businesses acknowledged that their confidence in the economy improved over the past half year. Confidence in the future The percentage of enterprises with confidence in the future increased slightly in comparison with December 2014 from 49 to 51 percent. The share of companies which have no confidence in the future decreased to 20 percent (was 24%). The share of compan ies that had ‘no opinion’ increased from 27 to 29 percent (June 2015). Opinion towards investment climate Less entrepreneurs stated that the investment climate was ’bad’. It’s percentage decreased from 34 to 31 percent in June 2015. Similar to December 2014, the percentage of the companies which have the opinion that it is ‘good’ remained low; more than 6 percent. Generally most companies, 63 percent, consider the investment climate to be ‘moderate’ (was 59%). Business operation results In June 2015 manyf companies had a decrease in their turnover (48%). Only 36 percent of the companies noticed an increase (was 38% in 2014 ). The percentage of companies who expect a positive business result for the year 2015 is 60 percent (if this turns out to be true, this is 5 perc ent points more than December 2014). In accordance to this, 40 percent of the companies expect to make a loss this year (5% points less than December 2014). Evidently t he positive trend of last year will continue.
